Iridia offers a comprehensive, firefighter-focused program designed to increase awareness and support prevention of the 18 occupational cancers recognized by WorkSafeBC. Led by experienced nurses, this program is delivered in a small-group setting (4-7 participants), providing a supportive environment where each firefighter gains a clear understanding of occupational cancers and learns proactive strategies for self-screening.
For Firefighters: Our program is tailored to you, addressing the unique health risks associated with firefighting. With a focus on clear communication and actionable guidance, each session empowers you to make informed choices for your long-term health. For those interested, optional baseline blood and urine testing is available to give further insight into personal health markers, including:
- Urinalysis
- Hematology profile
- Electrolytes
- Renal and liver function
- Glucose
- Cholesterol and lipids
